Workshops & RetreatsI ran the following workshops at the 2011 Summer Gathering: ![]() Aspects of LoveLove means many things to many people. Some say its an emotion, a feeling, others would say affection or attachment. Is it a virtue or an act of human kindness, compassion or perhaps more than that it is the basis for all being and can also be thought of in terms of divine love, eternal Oneness or God in whatever form you know and believe. You can love many things like a Chinese meal or a film or a person it can be romantic, sexual, fulfilling or painful parental, romantic, platonic or familial. You can feel love from many sources, people, nature, environment, art, music. Love can be an intense feeling but can also be a feeling of calm within. This workshop gave an opportunity to think about what love means and has meant to you. We worked together to define love and then thought about how we can personally take love forward in a positive way. Included a meditation and intention on love The Six Thinking Hats![]()
Our rapidly changing world requires new ways to develop concepts and ideas to make real differences to our lives. To take an idea through the development stage requires a great deal of planning, creating, thinking and communicating. Whilst people may all have good intentions and similar goals it can be challenging to break through the "spaghetti bowl" of differing thoughts, opinions, ideas and oppositions in order to get things moving. The Six Thinking Hats is a constructive thinking tool for group discussion and individual thinking. It is a simple, effective process to enable parallel thinking, help people to be more productive, focused and mindfully involved. This workshop provided an opportunity to learn to think in six clear and distinct styles, identify and understand thinking patterns and find ways to change the process of thoughts. Based on the work of Dr Edward de Bono the Six Hats represent six different brain states. The technique allowed everyone together to consider problems from all sides. All workshops are interactive and experiential, and enable participants to engage at a deep level for learning and self-discovery. This is a useful workshop for team building and can be taken into organisations to increase creativity and productivity. www.gauntshousesummergathering.blogspot.com For more information about running workshops in your organisation please contact me.
